Upcoming 2.3 Changes
Hey Gamemakers,
With the release of 2.3, pretty much every asset creator in the world is scrambling to get their packages up to snuff. I've began to retool Retro Pal Swapper. The new change removes all the globalvars in the init script and actually moves all the functions into a single object. There are some issues with layer swapping in HTML5... but that's HTML5 for ya.
Though not built yet, I'm hoping to include a new example: full screen swapping, that will show you how to apply pal swapper to your entire application surface.
Finally, I'd like to create a "Getting Started with Retro Pal Swapper" video to supplement the -admittedly pretty poor- documentation. It would cover Pal Builder 3, Your first pal swap in a fresh project, and the aforementioned full screen swap.
I don't have a solid timeline for these changes, but they are on the horizon. If you have any feature suggestions, now would be a good time, and the comments below would be a good place!
